How did you measure the amplitude of the Kodiak tsunami wave?
What value did you find?
LEARNING TARGET:
I will work with my group to write a first draft of my lap report during today's class.

WORK O' THE DAY:
I received word from the folks up at U of W late last week that there are additional Bottom Pressure Sensors available to us-- they are labeled as CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth).

By way of practice for our upcoming Video Tutorial Project, please work with your group to find a working CTD sensor.
Then please take specific notes of the steps required to:
I will give you class time to work on both the Lab Report and the Video Tutorial
How does the crest and trough of a wave relate to the amplitude of a wave? How does the period of a wave relate to the frequency of a wave? How can we find a more precise value for the speed of the 'small' tsunami generated by the Kodiak earthquake now that we have more data from the Southern Hydrate Ridge PREST sensor? ═══════════════════════════
